The Goal Tracking resource enables schools and parents to track a member and family’s progress in reaching goals. In many schools, parents are asked to fulfill a certain number of volunteer service hours per year or donate a certain amount of money through donation opportunities, scrip purchases, and campaigns. SchoolSpeak’s Goal Tracking Resource can assist in tracking different kinds of items: 

  • Time - Great for tracking service hours or volunteer hours
  • Money - Useful for tracking donations or scrip sales
  • Counts - Good for tracking numbers of items. 

Benefits of using SchoolSpeak’s Goal Tracking resource

  • Parents can monitor their own progress and can input their own data if allowed by the school.
  • Administrators or events coordinators can view the member/family’s progress and easily update hours volunteered or money donated online.
  • Administrators can use categories to help organize different types of service hours/money.
  • Schools can track a secondary item in addition to the main tracked item. For example, a school can track scrip sales in two ways - how much a parent has purchased and how much of that purchase the school receives.
  • Goal Tracking can sync (connect with) automatically with SchoolSpeak’s Volunteer Calendar resource so that as members signup for volunteer opportunities their hours can automatically be updated in the Goal Tracking resource.

Submitting Entries

You can submit event entries for the members using Submit functionality.

  1. Click the Submit link.Image title

    • Select the member
    • Specify the details of entries in this section

  2. Click Add to save the entries.

Viewing Member Reports

Parents can view all their event entries using the My Entries functionality. You can also add event entries on this page but one entry at a time.

  1. Click the My Entries link.Image title
  2. Select the member from the Select a member drop-down list.Image title
  3. You can enter the events details on its completion.
  4. Click Add  to save the entries.

Viewing Group Report

You can view the events entries of a selected group using the Member Report functionality.

  1. Click Member Report link.Image title 
    • Select a group from the Select Groups to view drop-dwon list to view the report.
    • Specify a range of count/amount/time. This works as a filter to view the information that comes within the specified range of count/amount/time. 
  2. Click Go.  

You can view the report in MS-Excel using Download.

Clicking on Edit link displays the My Entries page where you can edit each event entry and the Submit  link displays the Submit page where you can add the event entries.

Using the Email Statements link throughout the pages, you can email the report to the respective group.

Click Send to send the email to the respective members of the team.

Viewing Family Report

You can view the events entries of a family using the Family Report functionality. In this, you get to view the family service time log details of each member of the family along with total count/amount/time of the family.

  1. Click the Family Report link.Image title
  2. Select the group from Select Groups to view drop-down list.
  3. Click Go.Image title

Uploading Family Service Time Log Details

You can upload the service events of more than one member using the Upload functionality. You need to prepare a CSV file of the events details of the members to upload.

  1. Click the Upload link. Image title
  2. Click Choose File  to add attachments.
    Note: You can attach a document of CSV file type.
  3. Click Upload.

The system displays the upload status message.
