Update the Withdrawal Date and the Withdrawal Reason in the student profile in SchoolSpeak before archiging or the WISE portal may throw errors. Once archived, it is very difficult to update this information into SchoolSpeak and correct the WISE errors. 

 

Two ways to do this:

Manually Updating the student profiles (ideal for 10-20 students or less):

1. Go to the individual student profiles

2. Click Update Profile

3. Enter the Withdrawal Date (end of final term date or 6/31/20210

4. Enter the Withdrawal Reason (For most students, this will be TC)

5. Click Update

 

Use Batch Member Update (ideal for more than 20 students)

1. Use Report Builder to build a CSV with Student First and Last Name, their SchoolSpeak Member ID, WISEdata Withdrawal date and WISEdata Withdrawal Reason

2. Download the report from Report Builder as a CSV.

3.  Open the downloaded CSV in excel

4. Under Withdrawal Date, enter the date the students withdrew (if the last day of their enrollment is the last day of school, enter that date)

5. Under the Withdrawal Reason, enter the code for their withdrawal reason (most students will be TC)

6. Save the excel file as a CSV, if it isn't in that format already

7. Go to SchoolSpeak's home page

8. Click Admin

9. Click Batch Member Update under section Manage Users

10. Upload the file.

11. Sync to WISEdata using the WISEdata tool on SchoolSpeak

 

If preferred, contact SchoolSpeak Support, and we will batch update the students on your behalf. Then manually update any student who has a different withdrawal date (they left before the last day of school) or who have a different withdrawal reason.
