Some schools have groups and resources that may be viewed by persons who are not a part of their SchoolSpeak community. For example, administrators and teachers may opt to allow non-members to view a particular calendar event. This may be helpful especially for outside clubs or messages.
There are three options
- As per resource Configuration – SchoolSpeak will use the options that you chose when you created the new resource (default option)
- Accessible without login – You may link the URL of this calendar event to a link on another website, usually the school’s website.
Note: This option requires changing the admin setting Access to Some information can be accessed without login - Login Required for Access – Only active members of your SchoolSpeak community will be able to view this calendar event regardless of the resource settings.
To enable SchoolSpeak to allow specific resources to be viewed without requiring a login, the first step is to change the setting within the SchoolSpeak Account Configuration. Please have a SchoolSpeak administrator contact SchoolSpeak Support.

When you add a resource, you have the option to check if you want the resource to be viewed without requiring a login.
Once the account has been set to allow resources to be shared to the public, you can indicate the whether the resource requires a login within the resource ADMIN page.
