The Configure Homerooms tool lets you add homerooms for every grade and class. You need to have all the teachers added to the list before configuring homerooms.
How to Access the Configure Homerooms Tool
Configure System tool is listed on the Admin Utilities page under Account Configuration.
To access the Configure Homerooms tool as an account administrator:
- Go to Admin Utilities page by clicking [Admin] link on the top-left of any SchoolSpeak page.
- Select Configure System from Account Configuration.
How to Use the Configure Homerooms Tool
Now lets see how you can configure homerooms. You need to have added the required teachers to the teachers list.
- Specify the followings on Edit Community Details page:
- Enter the Homeroom Name.
- Select the Homeroom teachers from Select Homeroom drop-down list.
Note: To select multiple teachers, Ctrl/Shift + Click on the names.
- Click Add. The selected teachers are added.
Click the Edit link next to the member name. The page will refresh and display Smith, Ann[Remove] just above the list. Click the [Remove] link to remove the member from the homeroom teachers list and add another teacher to the same homeroom. Now you see the confirmation message.
Click on the name link to edit the member profile. Click the Delete link to delete the homeroom.
Now you see the confirmation message.
