Bulletins and Web Page resources enable school admins or teachers to easily communicate with their school families and faculty. These are the two of the most commonly used resources within SchoolSpeak. Teachers, group coordinators and administrators may use announcements and web  pages to share information with members of their classes, groups, or the entire school.

NoteIn this help file the word announcement may be used in place of the bulletin. Bulletins are commonly called Announcements by our SchoolSpeak members.

When a person logs into SchoolSpeak, announcements are often the first item that they see. Whether you are sharing general school information, or using the announcement resource within your classroom to share information about class trips, projects, or spelling lists or perhaps including a school handbook – you will find the bulletin resource is your go-to choice. Many schools replace their common “weekly” paper folder with SchoolSpeak’s online announcement resource functionality.  The summary email will send out any new information that has been posted within your SchoolSpeak account.

Bulletin vs. Web Page

  • Use Bulletin for timely announcements that will pop up on the home page. By default, new announcements will appear on the home page for 7 days, but you can adjust as needed.
  • Use Web Page for long-term pages which will not pop up on the home page but only will be available in the Quick Links. Use this for syllabi, school policies and handbooks.
